Abstract:

Intrinsic decomposition is a fundamental mid-level vision problem that plays a crucial role in various inverse rendering and computational photography pipelines. However, it is notoriously difficult to estimate the intrinsic of photographs in the wild. In this work, I will present our upcoming paper where we achieve high-quality and high resolution decompositions using 4 key insights on the modeling of the problem. We will also cover in-the-wild object relighting, our follow-up work that is made possible by in-the-wild intrinsic decomposition.
